The opener carriage contains a spring that is deactivated and later reactivated by the red pull cord.
The red cord is connected to the trolley which is connected to the opener carriage the part of the garage door opener that moves the door up and down.

To reengage the trolley attachment simply pull down on the cord but this time towards the garage opening to keep the lever from engaging.
This means the door is secured in place and should be attached to the opener once again.
Now push the button for the operator i e the button that opens your garage door.
You ll hear a click.
Allow the opener to operate without.
Pull straight down on the emergency release rope once the door is open.
Pull the emergency release rope toward the opener motor head.
The opener trolley will engage the carriage once it comes to the full open position.
Pull up on the door until it snaps into place and you re back in automatic mode.
This prevents the carriage from reconnecting to the opener rail trolley allowing full manual operation of the door.
If your garage door opener has a button that opens the garage door and another button to close it press the close button.
To release the garage door opener pull down on the cord.
Trying to reengage your garage door opener with the door closed doesn t work.
Once the door is all the way up pull the red cord at an angle.
