Using insteon automation you can link a button on a keypadlinc as a status light to indicate whether or not your garage door is open and remotely open or close the garage door from other areas of your property using that button or another button on a keypadlinc switchlinc or mini remote. Requires the insteon hub and a home internet connection. When the insteon garage control status kit is used with the insteon hub 2245 222 you will always know whether you forgot to close the garage door.

This will allow the sensor to control whether the button is lit or not giving positive feedback as to the status of the garage door. To control the garage door from those buttons press either button a or b then hold down its set button until it beeps button should be blinking then go to the garage controller press and hold its set button until it beeps.
