Repair any loose or cracked tiles. Remove the tile and prepare the wall according to the corresponding instructions above or tile over the existing tile. In areas of high moisture such as walls in a shower for long term durability it is not advised to install tile over drywall even if the drywall is type mr moisture resistant. If you want to update your kitchen or bathroom walls with tiles you don t have to remove existing painted drywall to do so.

Start by cleaning the wall to remove any grease then apply thin set adhesive and set the tile. Tiles are ideal for showers bathtubs and backsplashes. Wash the wall with tsp tri. After the adhesive has set apply grout and you re done.
