Step 2 prepare the door. When a sliding door doesn t work right the problem is often that the rollers have derailed so first check to be sure they re fitted onto the track properly. Locate the two adjusting screws at the bottom of the door on the face or edge of the door and pry off the trim caps that cover the screws. Raise it just enough to clear the track and roll smoothly.

To start your sliding glass door adjustment project first lift or lower the door on the track with a screwdriver or allen wrench. Sliding glass doors are kept in place by the track on the bottom and a simple channel guide at the top of the frame. Once clear of the bottom track the door will drop out of the frame completely.
